Refuge

Glory to thee…
O…Supreme Master Krishna!
sanctified are our lives
by your glorious manifestation.
Music of your conch
routed strife on earth

Your tenderness was felt on flowers
Your veracity on the flow of river
Your ferocity on the flame
Your quietude on the snow

Our lamentations seek refuge at your feet
all we sing are in praise of you
when you adorn yourself
the earth become beautiful.

Vishwarupam

Would we not get frightened – oh Lord!
if eleven suns appear on the sky?

Would not judiciousness bestow on our life – if we
learn a single technic single mystery?

What all we learnt melted like iron in blacksmith’s shop
on hearing what you taught!

Looking at the Kandaravas, Asuras, Sages, and Deities
our stomach twists and rolls out of fear.

Whereas you are Omnipotent and Omnipresent
in everything and everywhere – we had been
searching you in vain.

Multitude are the heads, eyes, legs, and hands – and endless
uncountable is your creation.

Why do you mock at those who have abandoned all earthly pleasures
and devoted themselves to the Spiritual development of the world?

We fall into your mouth for consumption like moth on flame
and rivers into the ocean.

Shivering were we like a rain-drenched goat – we feel warm and alive
by the heat of your presence!
